Elmina is my city and it’s situated in south of Ghana, on the Atlantic coast of Africa.
Now it has a population arround 20,000 people and it’s the meeting point for tourists from many parts of the world.
The weather is always nice, that makes it easier for tourists to come throughout the year, though visitors increased from June to September.
In the past Elmina was the first European settlement in West Africa.
One of the biggest attractions of Elmina Castle is the St. Gorge's. That was built by the Portuguese in 1482. The castle was only a small rectangular fort. The modern fortress has expanded tenfold.
